I know this sounds obvious, but you would be surprised with the websites we review. A phone number. We believe a phone number should be on you home page at the top for your visitors to see. Then again on your contact page. If you own a business that customers may want service or a product immediately, you want to make the phone number easy to find. A great example would be a carry out Chinese restaurant or a locksmith. A customer doesn’t want to fill out a contact form and wait to hear from you. You want to make sure this phone number goes to a direct sales or customer service person. Nobody wants to call and get an automated phone system when trying to place an order. There are companies such as callrail.com that can track which keywords were used to call your business. These companies can record your employees conversations with customers and provide reports for your business. This can be very powerful on how your are getting new customers and how your employees are doing on treating your new customers right or losing sales.
